TradeSpeak
Tradespeak is a B2B content company that has introduced a new way for the world's leading-edge
companies to showcase innovative solutions. This e-business site consists of a library of white
papers. Companies can market their products/solutions through white papers which after payment by the
company, are uploaded to the site and organized, indexed and made available for searching on the site.
The site has two different areas - one for publishers and the other for readers. Publishers have to
first register on the site and get an account. After this they can upload white papers in Acrobat,
Word or Text formats. The system uploads and verifies these files; performs file conversions e.g.
Word to HTML, XML, Acrobat, Text; processes the publisher's credit card; updates the database; and
catalogs and indexes the files. Readers can search or browse for white papers on the site using a
variety of different search tools such as quick search (for keywords), advanced search (including
full-text search), subject index and what's new. Papers can either be downloaded individually or
added to the reader's briefcase (shopping cart). From the briefcase, readers can either choose to
download all papers or have them emailed to them. All papers are zipped up dynamically on the server
before download.
