We developed a custom ERP system for GBN as a 3-tiered Client/Server application.
This system included modules for order entry, inventory management, manufacturing, purchasing, bill of materials,
receiving, shipping and invoicing. The receiving and shipping modules interfaced with a bar code scanner to adjust
inventory levels in the warehouse automatically. The order entry module handled new orders, modifications to existing
orders and order status tracking. Hierarchical bills of materials described in detail what items were needed for
assembling the products that the company made. This was meant for the manufacturing team so that they could effectively
pull parts from their inventory and assemble products. Through the purchasing module a user could view and add items
that needed to be ordered. Several reports were also developed including customers, order history, inventory levels,
item forecasts, etc.
